The Ajanta Ellora Tour is a magnificent journey that takes you on an exploration of some of India’s most famous ancient sites. Here’s what you can expect during the tour:
After breakfast, morning cruise across the harbour (9 kms) to see Elephanta Caves noted for its huge rock cuts. Afternoon tour of Mumbai city Marine drive, Mani Bhawan, Gateway of India & drive through the Crawford Market, Marine Drive & Flora Fountain. Overnight in 4* Hotel.
Morning Breakfast & transfer to the Domestic Airport. On arrival transfer to the hotel. Later visit the Aurangabad Caves, excavated between the 2nd and 6th century AD, they reflect tantric influences in their iconography and architectural designs. Also visit and Daulatabad Fort, this magnificent 12th century fortress stands on a hill just 13 kms. from Aurangabad. One of the world’s best preserved fort of medieval times, surviving virtually unaltered, Daulatabad yet displays the character that made it invincible. Overnight stay at the 4* hotel.
Morning excursion to Ajanta Caves, Ajanta is situated at a distance of 99 Kms and 03 hrs drive from the Aurangabad city. Ajanta is famous for paintings and sculptures, considered as master pieces of Buddhist religious art. Back to Aurangabad, overnight stay at the 4* hotel. (Ajanta Caves remains closed on Mondays).
After breakfast, excursion to Ellora Caves situated 30 Kms from Aurangabad, Ellora houses the several uninterrupted monuments, dating back to 600 to 1000 A.D.The caves brings the ancient Indian civilization to life. Transfer to airport for connect flight to international. Upon arrival transfer to the International Airport to board the flight for onward destination. (Ellora Caves are closed on Tuesdays).
The best time to visit Ajanta Ellora is from November to March when the weather is cooler and more pleasant.
It’s recommended to wear comfortable clothing and shoes as there will be a lot of walking involved. Additionally, it’s advised to dress conservatively, covering your knees and shoulders, as you will be visiting religious sites.
Photography is allowed inside the temples, but there may be restrictions in certain areas. It’s always best to check with your guide before taking photos.
